Manning's n and Sediment size

Manning's n value is determined from the size of the sediment forming the channel boundary

n = ks^(1/6) / (8.1*g^(1/2))

ks = 2.0*D90

n = (2.0*D90)^(1/6) / (8.1*g^(1/2))

n : Manning's n
ks : sand grain roughness
g : gravitational acceleration(m/s^2)
D90 : the grain size with 90% of size fractions being finer(m)
