The area of the circular segment is equal to the area of the circular sector minus the area of the triangular portion?that is,

A = 1/2*(R^2)*¥á*¥ð/180 - 1/2*R*R*sin(¥ð- ¥è) = 1/2*(R^2)*(¥á*¥ð/180 - sin¥á)

R : radius of circle
¥á : central angle (degrees)
