Dh = 4A / P

Dh : the hydraulic diameter (m, ft, L)
A : the cross sectional area of flow (m^2, ft^2, L^2)
P : the wetted perimeter (m, ft, L)

For Rectangular pipe duct

A = B*h , P = 2(B*h), Dh = 2(B*h) / (B+h)
B : Width of pipe duct (m)
h : Height of pipe duct (m)
