Wave height, freeboard due to wind, using fetch length and wind speed

A modificated equation includes a provision for wind speed:

H = 0.032(UF)^(1/2)+0.76-0.24F^(1/4)
H : Wave height due to wind (m)
U : Wind speed measured at a height of 10m (km/h)
F : Fetch length (km)  
   (for large values of fetch(F>20km), the last two terms may be neglected)
