The density, or more precisely, the volumetric mass density, of a substance is its mass per unit volume.

¥ñ = m / V

The mass of floating object is equal to the mass of fluid with submerged volume of object.

Thus, the density of floating object can be calculated by following formula.

¥ño = ¥ñl*Vs / V

¥ño : density of object (kg/m^3)
¥ñl : density of fluid (kg/m^3)
Vs : submerged volume of object (m^3)
V : volume of object (m^3)
