Momentum(impulse) by a free falling object

Momentum(impulse) by a free falling object is calculated using the relationship between potential energy and kinetic energy.

For an object with mass (kg) at a height H (m), assuming no rebound after impacting the bottom;

Velocity at contacting the bottom becomes zero, then the monentum P is equal to the product of mass and terminal fall velocity.

mgH = (1/2)mV^2
V^2 = 2gH

P = m*(2gH)^(1/2) (kg*m/s)

P = m*(2*g*H)^(1/2)
