Surface area of rectangular prism when dividing into smaller ones

When dividing a rectangular prism dimensioned by H, W and L shown in figure into smaller ones (with divisors of Hn, Wn, Ln), the total of surface areas of all divided ones is calculated as follows:

In H direction, the surface area becomes 2*W*L*Hn. In W and L directions the same applies.

Then, the total of surface area, s, is :

S = 2*(W*L*Hn + H*L*Wn + H*W*Ln)
