Moment acting on a rod having a bend

When the force P acts on a rod having a bend with the deflection angle ¥è as shown in figure, the moment at the bottom point A is calculated as below.

Since the moment is the product of force and distance to the point of action, we get :

MA = P*(L2+L1*cos(¥è))
