Thermal expansion coefficient of steel (change in length due to temperature vatiation) ¿ÆØâ °è¼ö

It is otherwise called as the linear expansion coefficient and should be considered in designing equipment or machinery used
under varied temperature.

¥ÄL = ¥á¡¿L¡¿¥Ät
where, ¥ÄL : variation of length due to temperate variation (¥Ät)
¥á  : thermal expansion coefficient (m/m¡¤¡É)
L  : length of steel element
¥Ät : temperature variation (¡É)
¡Ø Unit of ¥ÄL is of length, generally used in millimeters.

¥á : in general, 10.5 ~ 12 ¡¿10^(-6)/¡É in the range of 20 ~ 100¡É.
    in case of STS304, 17¡¿10^(-6)/¡É.
