Thermal expansion coefficient of steel (change in length due to temperature vatiation) 열팽창 계수

It is otherwise called as the linear expansion coefficient and should be considered in designing equipment or machinery used
under varied temperature.

ΔL = α×L×Δt
where, ΔL : variation of length due to temperate variation (Δt)
α  : thermal expansion coefficient (m/m·℃)
L  : length of steel element
Δt : temperature variation (℃)
※ Unit of ΔL is of length, generally used in millimeters.

α : in general, 10.5 ~ 12 ×10^(-6)/℃ in the range of 20 ~ 100℃.
    in case of STS304, 17×10^(-6)/℃.
