The volume of a hollow cylinder having its outer diameter D, inner diameter d and height h, as shown in the figure, is calculated as follows:

¡à Volume by the outer diameter, V1
 V1 = (¥ð/4)*D^2 * h

¡à Volume by the inner diameter, V2
 V2 = (¥ð/4)*d^2 * h

¡à Volume of the hollow cylinder, V = V1 - V2
 V = (¥ð/4)*(D^2 - d^2) * h
