ppm means 1/1000000.

That is, if 1/1000 ml of solute is dissolved in 1 L of solution (= 1000 ml), it becomes 1 ppm.

The amount M of solute contained in the P ppm solution of S ml can be calculated as follows.

M = P * S / 1000000
