If an object was thrown at a specific angle from the horizontal line and its horizontal travel distance and time to fall onto the ground is defined as dt (s) and L (m) respectively,  then the throwing angle ¥è (¢ª) can be obtained as follows.

Horizontal velocity: Vx = L/dt (m/s)

Since the time to arrive at the peak point is dt/2,

Vertical velocity: Vy = (dt/2) * g (m/s)

Therefore, the throwing angle is:

¥è = arctan(Vy/Vx) = arctan((dt/2)*g/(L/dt)) = arctan((dt^2*g)/(2*L))

¥è = arctan((dt^2*g)/(2*L))
