Type1 Type2
A straight line perpendicularly bisecting a line connecting two points A (xa, ya) and B (xb, yb) passes through the midpoint of two points and the slope is perpendicular to the line connecting the two points.

The coordinates of the midpoint C (xc, yc) of the two points are as follows.

Since the slope of a line connecting two points is (ya-yb)/(xa-xb), the slope "a" of the straight line to be obtained is as follows.

If the straight line to be obtained is y = ax + b, this straight line passes the point C and, thus, "b" can be obtained as follows.

yc = (xb-xa)/(ya-yb) * xc + b
