The mass SM of the solvent for dissolving the solute M (g) having a solubility S (g) at a specific temperature can be obtained as follows.

The solubility means the mass of the solute dissolved in 100 g of the solvent. Therefore, there is a relation of 100: S = SM: M.

Therefore, the mass SM of the solvent can be calculated by the following equation.

SM = 100 * M / S
