If the height of the water column is h (m), the force F (N) applied to the unit area (m^2) is as follows.

F = ¥ñ * g * h * 1m^2

¥ñ: density of water (kg / m^3)
g: gravitational acceleration (m / s^2)

Since the pressure Pa is the magnitude of the force applied per unit area (m^2),

Pr = F / m^2 = p * g * h (Pa)

To represent kPa, divide by 1000.

Pr = p * g * h / 1000 (kPa)
