When accelerating, the tension on the tilted pendulum

As shown in the figure, the acceleration of the object can be calculated using the angle ¥è (degrees) that the pendulum hanging on the accelerating object makes with the vertical direction.

tan(¥è) = a/g

a = g*tan(¥è)

When the mass of the pendulum is m (kg), the tension T (N) applied to the string is as follows.

T = m*(a^2+g^2)^(1/2)
 = m*((g*tan(¥è))^2+g^2)^(1/2)
 = m*g*((tan(¥è))^2+1)^(1/2)

From;
tan(¥è) = sin(¥è)/cos(¥è), (sin(¥è))^2 + (cos(¥è))^2 = 1,

We get;
T = m*g/cos(¥è)
