Type1 Type2
Calculation of the tension generated by the suspended object as shown in the figure.

The magnitude of the x and y direction forces of tension T1 :

T1x = -T1*cos(¥è1)
T1y = T1*sin(¥è1)

The magnitude of the x and y direction forces of tension T2 :

T2x = T2*sin(¥è2)
T2y = -T2*cos(¥è2)

Since the resultant force in the x direction is zero and the resultant force in the y direction is F,

T1x + T2x = -T1*cos(¥è1)+T2*sin(¥è2) = 0
T1y + T2y = T1*sin(¥è1)-T2*cos(¥è2) = F

Combining these two equations, we get :

-T1*cos(¥è1)*cos(¥è2)+T2*sin(¥è2)*cos(¥è2) = 0
T1*sin(¥è1)*sin(¥è2)- T2*cos(¥è2)*sin(¥è2) = F*sin(¥è2)

T1*(sin(¥è1)*sin(¥è2)-cos(¥è1)*cos(¥è2)) = F*sin(¥è2)
T1 = F*sin(¥è2) / (sin(¥è1)*sin(¥è2)-cos(¥è1)*cos(¥è2))

T2*sin(¥è2) = T1*cos(¥è1)
T2 = T1*cos(¥è1)/sin(¥è2)
