Converting the ppm concentration of the aqueous solution to the molar concentration (mol/L) ppm

If the aqueous solution having a molecular weight M of the solute is of P (ppm), the mass of the solute contained in 1 L of the solution, m (g), can be obtained as follows.

m = P/1000

The mole number of solute :

mol = m/M = P/(1000*M)

This is the molarity of the solute in 1 L, and therefore, same as the molar concentration.
