The volume V of the rotating body obtained by rotating y = (a * x) ^(1/2) along the x axis is calculated as follows.

V = ¡ò¥ðy^2 dx = ¡ò¥ð(a*x) dx = a*¥ð¡òx dx = (a*¥ð/2)*x^2

If the integral range is x1 to x2,

V = (a*¥ð/2)*(x2^2 - x1^2)
