Geometric sequence, when the square inscribed to a square is repeated

As shown in the figure, when the inner square is repeatedly made by connecting the center of each side of the square whose initial length is L1 is repeated, the length of one side of the nth square is obtained as follows.

L2 = L1*(1/2)^(1/2)

L3 = L2*(1/2)^(1/2) = L1*(1/2)^(2/2)

L4 = L3*(1/2)^(1/2) = L1*(1/2)^(3/2)

   ...

Ln = L1*(1/2)^((n-1)/2)
