Tension on a string connected to an object in a vertical circular motion

The centrifugal force of a circularly moving object is equal to the tension on the string connected to the object.

F = m*v^2 / R

In the case of vertical circlular motion as shown in the figure, the tension force on the string is increased by the gravity at the bottom is decreased by the gravity at the top.

T =  F ¡¾ mg = m*(v^2 / R ¡¾ g)
