As shown in the figure, the firing speed V (m/s) of an object for flying the horizontal distance L (m) with the launching angle ¥è (degrees) to the horizon direction can be obtained as follows.

From L = V^2*sin(2*¥è)/g,

V = (L*g/sin(2*¥è))^(1/2)
