As shown in the figure, the firing angle ¥è (degrees) for an object with a firing speed of V (m/s) to fly the horizontal distance L (m) can be obtained as follows.

L = V^2*sin(2*¥è)/g

sin(2*¥è) = L*g/V^2

¥è = (1/2)*arcsin(L*g/V^2)
