The restitution coefficient CR is defined as the ratio of the velocities before and after the collision.

CR = Va / Vb

Va : velocity after collision
Vb : velocity before collision

The speeds VH and Vh at which the object dropping from the heights H and h touch the floor can be calculated as follows.

VH = (2*g*H)^(1/2)

Vh = (2*g*h)^(1/2)

With the speed VH at which the object collided with the floor, the object springs up to h at the speed Vh. Then,

CR = Vh/VH = (h/H)^(1/2)

h = H*CR^2
