Calculation the surface area of a cone using the radius and central angle (deg) of sector

As shown in the figure, when the radius and central angle of the sector are R and ¥è, respectively, the arc length of the sector is the same as the circumference length of the base circle, so the radius of the base circle r is,

2*¥ð*R*(¥è/360) = 2*¥ð*r

r = R*(¥è/360)

Area of the sector = ¥ð*R^2*(¥è/360)
Area of the base circle = ¥ð*r^2 = ¥ð*(R*(¥è/360))^2

Thus, total area A is,

A = ¥ð*R^2*(¥è/360)*(1+(¥è/360))
