The value of all resistance is R (¥Ø). Obtain the resultant resistance between A and E in the circuit arranged as shown in the figure.

Since the potential of B, C, and D is the same by symmetry, connecting B and D points to the point C yield the same circuit.

Therefore, since the resistance connected to the C point and the resistance connected to the B and D points are in a parallel connection, all of the resistance connected to the C point becomes 0.5R.

Then, the resultant resistance RT between A and E is :

RT = 2*(1.5R*1.5R)/3R = 1.5R
