The value of all resistance is R (¥Ø). Obtain the resultant resistance between A and E in the circuit arranged as shown in the figure.

Since the potential of B, C, and D is the same by symmetry, connecting B and D points to the point C yield the same circuit.

Therefore, since the resistance connected to the C point and the resistance connected to the B and D points are in a parallel connection, the resistance connected between B and C is R/2 and the resistance ocnnected between D and C is R/3.

Then, the resultant resistance RT between A and E is :

RT = 2*(3R/2*4R/3)/(3R/2+4R/3) = 2*(12R^2/6)/(17R/6) = (24/17)R
