¡á Given conditions

¢¹ Speed of the vehicle : v (km/hr) = v/3.6 (m/s)
¢¹ Mass of the vehicle : m (kg)
¢¹ Time taken to be completely stopped : t (s)

¢º Acceleration due to applied force F (N) : a = F/m
¢º Time taken to stop : t = (v/3.6)/a = v/(3.6*a) = v*m/(3.6*F)

Thus, the force to be applied is :

F = v*m/(3.6*t)

Introducing a coefficient for conversion of the velocity term,

F = v*m/(C*t)

For speed unit in m/s, C=1.
For speed unit in km/hr, C=3.6.
