When the current amount I (A) flows in a parallel connected circuit as shown in the figure, the current amount I1 (A) distributed by the resistor R1 (¥Ø) can be obtained as follows.

I = I1 + I2

I1*R1 = I2*R2

I1*R1 = (I - I1)*R2

I1 = I*R2/(R1+R2)
