The equation of the state of the ideal gas is used to determine the number of moles of a certain volume of gas.

PV = nRT

P: atmospheric pressure (atm)
V: volume of gas (liter)
n: number of moles (mol)
R: Gas constant (0.082 atm * L / mol * K)
T: Absolute temperature (K)

n = PV / (RT)
