As shown in the figure, the voltage is V (V), and the current Id (A) passing through the diode can be obtained in the circuit composed of resistors R1, R2, R3 (¥Ø) and a diode.

The forward threshold voltage of the diode is Vd (V).

When the voltage V1 (V) at the branch point, the following equation holds.

(V-V1)/R1 = V1/R2 + (V1-Vd)/R3

Summarizing this, V1 can be obtained.

(V-V1)/R1 = (V1*R3+(V1-Vd)*R2)/(R2*R3)

(V-V1)*R2*R3 = (V1*R3+(V1-Vd)*R2)*R1

V*R2*R3 - V1*R2*R3 = V1*R1*R3 + V1*R1*R2 - Vd*R1*R2

V1*(R1*R2+R2*R3+R1*R3) = V*R2*R3 + Vd*R1*R2

V1 = (V*R2*R3+Vd*R1*R2)/(R1*R2+R2*R3+R1*R3)

Therefore, Id is as follows.

Id = (V1-Vd)/R3 = ((V*R2*R3+Vd*R1*R2)/(R1*R2+R2*R3+R1*R3)-Vd)/R3
