When current I (A) flows through the wire, the number of electrons N (ea) passing through the cross section of the wire during time t (s) is obtained.

The number of electrons can be calculated by dividing the total charge by the charge on one electron.

N = Q/e = I*t/e

e = 1.602*10^(-19)

N = (I*t/1.602)*10^(19)
