You can make a set of formulas which deal with a series of calculation by combining existing formulas. There are two ways of adding Formula Controls as follows: 1. Adding existing formulas (only those which are set open to public by the user are available.) 1) Search a formula, by using the 'Find Existing Formula' or with help in 'My Page', 'Favorites', and by 'Category' selection. 2) Select a formula from search results. 3) Check the contents of your selection. 4) Click the 'Add Selected Formula' button. 2. Adding new formulas (these formulas has to be written directly by the user and are available only in that set of formulas.) 1) When you cannot find a formula you want, 2) Add a formula by clicking the ¡°Add New Formula¡± button. - New formulas added in this way will not be registered as an independent formula. They are available only in the set of formulas.
How to use added Formula Controls 1. General 1) Add description of the formulas in the blanks right above the Formula Control. - When you modify a formula added in the Formula Control, you may describe such modification. 2) The number on the left top of the Formula Control represents the order of calculations. - Calculation will be performed from top to low Formula Control. 3) The number button on the right top of the Formula Control represents the register number of the formula added. - You can get detail information by click the number button. 4) ¡°Find Var.¡± button finds and shows the variables from the formulas in the Formula Control. - Tool tips show description of variables. 5) The 'Calculate' button returns the results of calculation of all formulas in the Formula Control. - Name of each variable should be unique. - Even in different formulas, any variables of an identical name will have the same value. - Values of variables having an identical name will be taken in the order of calculation. 6) The ¡°X¡± button will remove the formula. 7) The ¡°Up¡± button will swift the position between the formula and the preceding one. 2. For adding existing formulas 1) You can modify variables in the formula, so that those can be properly used in the formula set. - You can change the name of result variables or input variables. - You can change the unit of calculation results and the unit of angles used in the formula. - It is recommended to add description in case of changing the unit. - You may not change the parentheses, operators or built-in functions which comprise the structure of the formula. - When you modify a formula, note that calculation results may also change and misdescription of variables may cause confusion. 2) Click the 'Find Var.' button to find variables, then input values for each variable. 3) Click the ¡®Calculate' button to get the calculation results. 2. For adding new formulas 1) A Formula Control having a button labeled '0000000' is created. - New formulas added in this way will not be registered as an independent formula. They are available only in the set of formulas. 2) The formula has to be written directly by the user. - Be careful with the results variable names and variable names of other formuls. - Add description of the variables in the blanks for the formula description. (With such description, ¡°See the description¡± will show in tool tips.) 3) Next steps are the same as those in ¡°2. For adding existing formulas¡±.
